UPDATE I-485
I used my AP for the first time to come back into the U.S today with zero issues, after visiting Barcelona for a few days. Only a few hours later I just got a notification that my I-485 that I haven’t gotten any updates on since 2022 is being actively reviewed. However, no active review notification on my VAWA application so I’m trying to figure out what this may mean. Any guesses or anyone experience this? #AOS #Activelyreview #AP

@Robert Yo for no more than 10/15 minutes only because there were people ahead of me and they take your documents and tell you to wait. The officer had stamped my AP before calling on me and asked me where I went, why I went, and what do for work. And let me go.

@franny zee yes I got a Schengen visa a few months ago to use for my trip.

@jork mande thank you for your response. I have a vawa Pending and I have a prime facie I will take it with me just in case I just was worried that my ex tried many times to mess my immigration cases but I think I’m just over thinking because I just got my work permit approval 10 days ago and my travel document both valid for 5 years.

I understand trust me. I’m in the same boat as ny ex tried to sabotage me A LOT of times lol. I carried my prima facie, divorce decree, and a few other supporting documents just incase they ask (and I will continue to do so every time I travel). I also got AP valid till 2029. @Robert Yo
the good thing about VAWA is they don’t base their decisions on what your abuser says or tries to do. it’s all about the compelling evidence you have. Good luck!!
