Did your status change to case sent to department of state before you received the welcome letter? If yes, did you get an email to say your status on USCIS changed to case sent?

@Simone O yes yesterday I received an email & SMS that they took action on my case, hours later my husband and I both received a NVC welcome letter via email.

@Rosemary T no i dnt check the uscis website i submitted the inquery but they denied na said after 17 month

Wow that's amazing. I know sometimes it takes a few days to update on USCIS and then another few days to get the WL.

I was approved Oct16 24. from Nebraska too. sent to NVC Oct19, welcome later 8 days after and took a week to approve everything. Just waitin for a Interview wich are taking a year in Santo Domingo. they are working first week of May 2024 Right now.

Did you pay the fees? I'm on this step, too. Waiting for NVC to process payment so I can start uploading documents. PD: 2/16/24 Approved: 4/15/25 (Texas SC) NVC Welcome Letter: 4/19/25 Fees paid: 4/24/25

@Simone O thank you, yes I think it’s moving fairly quickly too I thought it would take longer to receive the NVC letter.

@smar Z where did you see this information? after the NVC receives all my information I am going to be waiting for Santo Domingo also. what i seen online it says average 5 months..

Hi @Beatrice H I didn’t pay the fees yet because I just got it yesterday. I have to call my lawyer and let her know, but did the payment clear yet? I saw something stating there’s another form that needs to be filled after the payment clears

@Rosemary T nope, hasn't cleared yet. I've seen some people saying that they've been having a bit of trouble with getting payment processed. It's a bit weird. But I'm hoping within the next day or two it clears. But yeah, after payment clears, you're uploading financial support docs, filling out the ds-260 online form and then uploading civil docs

@Rosemary T no bella, actual time for an interview in SD is a whole year. I made all the NVC process by my self and took a week to be approved. then they sent a mail saying that you only have to wait for a available visa. now they working on last week of April-first week may 2024.

once they approve your NVC case you can add your case here in this app and wait for updates.
