Unemployment benefits?
Hi,
I just received my EAD and I was wondering if I’m eligible for unemployment while I look for a job?
I worked for a year on OPT in June 2019 and nothing since then.
Application is AOS, married to USC.

no need for a lawer , as long as you have your work permit , you can . public charge is different is cash assistance, food stamps .

USCIS specifically lists unemployment benefits as an earned benefit. And they were never part of the public charge rule.
