UK L1A to EB1C
Anybody from the UK on the same path on here? I should have done PP but feels pointless now so long filed

hey @Kevin Rowe, yep. UK L1A - we went for premium processing on I140 but had an rfe. subimitted I140 and 1485 concurrently at end of Jan. I140 ended up being approved in June (we had a slow response to rfe), now waiting for I485 also at national benefits centre.

it’s dawning on me how long a wait I have for 485

Canadian here, I140 approved in September (after PP) and I485 transferred to NBC in early October. Submitted everything concurrently in April. I had originally figured it would take a year beginning to end, but you see cases on here that move a lot faster so… hard to say. Seems to vary a lot based on processing centre.

I’m hopeful of something this side of the new year. most people seem 8-12 months, I’m right on 10 now.
Kevin RoweNov 15, 2023
thanks all, good to know there is shared pain out there ;)
Kevin RoweNov 15, 2023
@j s That I-140 timeline is what I was expecting to the max, but I seem to have gone crawling towards the 7 month mark annoyingly
j sNov 16, 2023
@Kevin Rowe it is so random. I’ve been following this app daily since the summer and there seems no logic to the order/speed in which things are processed. personally, if your company/you are willing to pay I do think premium is worth it. they’re likely to come back with an RFE request but at least you get the peace of mind that the steps sit with you and a timeline is clear (respond to first I140 in 15 days, RFE response after you provide requested evidence is within 45 days of resubmission). it’s the not knowing when/having no control that kills me.
Kevin RoweNov 16, 2023
Yeah I was told RFE likely with PP but I feel now I am so deep into I-140 it’s a bit pointless. I can’t be far away given it’s 200 days. Yeah, and the industry I am in has been super dodgy with layoffs so anxiety has been through the roof on some of the rounds but all good!
Kevin RoweNov 16, 2023
Waiting game for me @ moment is on biometrics appointment , I know my luck it will be for when I’m back in UK in December @j s - been 2 weeks since fee paid so hoping soon
Kevin RoweNov 16, 2023
@j s will I get a status change from fingerprint fee received to scheduled when the local office has scheduled and appointment please?
j sNov 16, 2023
@Kevin Rowe I hope they don’t do that for you and your appointment. I’m trying to remember how ours went, I know we (my spouse and I) received a letter on 17th feb confirming our biometrics appointment for Feb 27th and 28th, about 2 weeks later our case updated to fingerprints were taken. unfortunately, I wasn’t using this app at the time so I didn’t have any visibility except for the letters sent to us and our lawyer following up. I only discovered lawfully around May. my status when first registered on here was ‘fingerprints taken’ and then in July it changed to transferred to another office. I have been stuck on that since.

and I know the pain is real with the anxiety around work security. I’m also in an industry (tech) which is seeing lots of layoffs. we’ve been through 2 in the last 18 months and while I’ve been fortunate to have a say in things and it looks okay for the near/mid future, we just never know - so having that pressure off will be huge.
Kevin RoweNov 17, 2023
Exactly same for me too @j s I am also two rounds in and still around!

UK here. L1A to EB1C. Sent everything (including medicals) with priority date of June 2022. i140 was approved in a matter of weeks along with EAD. No movement on travel permit and i485. Been waiting 18 months now.
j sNov 17, 2023
woah that’s a long time @IB B - what processing Center are you currently in?
IB BNov 18, 2023
originally went to TSC, got transferred to NBC and has been at Dallas FO (my local) since last November. Guess its just a waiting game!
Kevin RoweNov 18, 2023
I can’t handle waiting that long! @IB B
Kevin RoweNov 18, 2023
travel permit not important though right @IB B since we have L1-A?
IB BNov 18, 2023
@Kevin Rowe yep that’s right, been travelling extensively on L1A and stayed on that visa for work. Intending on putting it forward for one more extension while i wait for this AOS.
Kevin RoweNov 18, 2023
Cheers, had me worried then as I’m heading back for Crimbo @IB B . I was hoping not to have to renew next November but seems like it is a raffle! Fingers crossed
