1. EAD and GC are separately processed. There is no relationship per se although in a lot of cases EAD and AP is approved before i485 (although this may not be the case every time). 2) Was your husband a dependent/derivative application or a separate application?

mine was about a week to receive the card.

Thanks! Husband is actually the main applicant who is being sponsored. He has previously had a work authorization card whereas I never did (I was a J1)

@Sara Steven I had a similar experience. I’m the main applicant. My spouse’s EAD got approved first and then mine a week later.

@Sara Steven did you ask your lawyer weather your husband is going to get a conditional gc or not?

@B B it is not conditional as we are employment based.

@Sara Steven that’s great, is it only because it’s employement based or you guys have been married for more than two years

Neither of us are American. We got married in Scotland (both Scottish) 6 years ago. Moved to the states right after on J visas. Got sponsored and now in GC process.
