The tourist visa will be denied. You cannot file two cases at the same time. The I-130 will win over the tourist visa.

@Debbie Amarachi I will rather advice your hubby not too attend. Bcos those consulate are always looking for suspected fouls. Just tell your husband to keep exercising patience. His case would be approved very soon. No need to risk anything. The reason is that, due to Nigeria bad economy state, those consulate thinking people are trying to force their way out. Just tell him to wait patiently. In my own case, it took me and my wife 8months to filed my i130 after our wedding, also duet to financial and good lawyer searching. And God has done it, now am at nvc stage. I have been hearing about waiting time from people about backlogs from Lagos embassy. Now I have put mind towards July or August of 2024. But if God do it, it may be early. Because USA is trying to reduce backlog or workload from embassy l. Anything is possible but waiting is USA medicine 😂😂, so that someone won’t complicate issues

@Debbie Amarachi Please do come back home & talk to him. I served during NYSC 2012 at Aba in Abia state. Is far to Lagos. My advice, if you can look for a small country and apply him a tourist visa. Atleast he can go there for vacation, refresh himself and come back. I’m currently tired too. I applied for Schengen France visa & I will be traveling by September, atleast for 7days and I can extend my staying. Though I work for myself. Atleast that would do the magic for him to refresh himself, cos it’s not easy & been separated from your hubby. I know his urged, cos relative and friends would be asking him about the processing a lot. That can bring anxiety on it own
