Yh I travel on mines and spent 3 months outside the country this year had no problem coming back.

my husband didnt overstay or anything like that. he just met me while on a temporary visa, we got married and we decided to adjust his status afterwards so that he could have more freedom with a GC (still pending). YET, despite having no issue with immigration, having a valid EAD and advance parole he still doesn’t want to leave the US until he gets his green card (I am a US citizen). i get it. Immigration is tough. you dont know what can happen. its really up to you and how you feel about your situation and if you feel its fine for you to leave and come back. in theory you have the paperwork to say you can come back in, but who knows right? good luck!! and sorry about the sick relative!
