Personally, I haven’t flown for over 2 years now so I can’t tell the best combination of documents you need to carry along. I recommend you carry your vawa receipt notice together with your ID and work permit just in case. If you have no criminal record, you prolly shouldn’t be too worried. If you’re too worried and you can get to your destination by driving in a couple of hours, then you may want to go for that option

It’s pretty safe! if your states allows you to get a real ID! you should get one, that is all you need as a form of identification.

real ID should be fine no EAD needed

ICE agents doesn’t care if you have real ID or not. when ICE gets list from TSA, they check run database and check your i94. if it’s out of status, then it’s their call if they want to detain you. do remember ICE agents have daily quota.

I am traveling every week almost state by state nothing happens, vawa is one of stronger case from all. I wouldn’t worry about. they dont ask other than DL

@David D what is a real ID, I plan to travel from Fl to Chicago for my MSN graduation but I’ve not been on a plane in the last 10 years have a I485 case pending and I was in deportation but the case was terminated about a year and half ago. is it safe for me to travel by plane??
