Can someone share an experience travelling from USA to Europe with extension letter? Have you had any issues with airlines during coming back? if possible, can you recommend airline with which you traveled? Thank you!

@Mariana M I actually have the same concern since I want to travel to Europe this summer. I heard different stories and some people had some difficulties coming back even when they had the expired green card and notice with them….

yeah, I read bad reviews about Lufthansa. So just wanted to make sure, before purchasing tickets.

Thanks for sharing. I did it on the App "Inmigra USA" the community of Immigrants in the United States. inmigrausa.com
There are immigration lawyers and free collaborators.
Stay up to date on news of interest to the Latino community.
Search Inmigrate USA.
I chose the Florida community, it looks like they are starting now, so I recommend you choose Florida.
Busca inmigra USA el app del inmigrante, de verdad es muy buena tambien.
Thanks!!!

@Mariana M if your extension letter covers the period from when your green card expired until you travel, you should be fine. However, you can get I-551 Stamp before travelling to be save.

I did translate and notarized the letter to the languages of the countries where I was crossing the border in case someone didn’t speak english well enough but I ended up not showing anything besides the original letter and my exprired gc.
