Hi, I just re-entered with my AP in April through JFK. at immigration I gave the officer my passport and EAD/AP combo card and said I was re-entering on my AP. he asked me to go to a room for further questioning. I took my marriage certificate and i458 receipt notice. they asked for neither. he asked me when I applied for the green card and then stamped it and let me go. I believe if your green card is work-based then you should also carry pay-stubs.

I traveled on AP and came back in January. I only had my AP card and passport. officer took me to the back office, no questions, all they did was stamp my passport and let me go. it was super quick. I am work based.

No, I didn’t ask the airline. it’s a travel authorization so they have experience with it. I’ve traveled with Delta, AirFrance, Air Europa without issues.

I was a j1 visa holder. my visa is no longer valid but I have work permit, advance parole and also pending green card. do you think I will be denied entry given that my h1 visa gas expired every though I gave adjusted status and have travel document?

Yes! AP is made to allow travel. No need to be scared. The only situation in which you should not use your advanced parole is if you have overstayed in territory out of status.

My visa expired too. They don't care about your visa because AP gives you permission to get in.

@brcm yl Overstayed meaning if there is a gap between the time your last visa expired and your immigration petition. For example your visa expired and you stayed in the us before filing for AoS. if there are no gaps then there is no reason to worry. I traveled and came back a few times without a visa. Just had my AP and valid passport

this is so good I was worried of traveling with AP, but this sharing have really motivated me.

no . i was f1 when the lawyer applied 131,485 and 765 all together. I stopped my i20 after I receive my working permit but my ap came now . so when I received my ap , i was not f1 but when I applied, i was f1…
