thank you
mr kAug 5, 2024
@Prad Path what about germany ?i heard germany provides on arrival visa for TD.
E HopefulAug 5, 2024
@mr k you don’t need a visa to enter the Netherlands, Germany (including Germany and Montenegro) with a refugee travel document. That passport allows you to enter visa free in those countries. No green card is needed, but you can still supplement it if asked. You can tell them your GC is still being processed if not printed yet.

Again, if you have an I-571 (RTD) issued by the United States, You can enter the Netherlands without a visa and stay up to 90 days within a 180-day period. But you do need other documents such as I-94 or poof of your asylum status or Asylee in the US.

@E Hopeful thanks brother,my RTD has 4 months validity is it ok if i go next month?
E HopefulAug 5, 2024
E HopefulAug 5, 2024
@mr k The rule is to enter Europe when you have a validity of at least 6 months prior to the expiration of the RTD. So it is up to you to consider or reconsider taking the risk of flying there with only 4 months on it. The good news is that Germany allows you to enter their country with a validity of at least 3 months (which is already good news). Those guys at the airport can let you in at their discretion; so, you can still fly if I were you. Another option would be to fly to Germany and then get on a train to head to the Netherlands. Once done with your travel, please return to Germany to fly back to the States since the first country you entered in.

@E Hopeful thanks

@E Hopeful thanks for you info and link. really I didn’t know that. @mr k hope you got enough info for your travel.
Immigration GuyAug 6, 2024
@mr k I share the official tool that airlines and CBP use to check entry eligibility on https://www.skool.com/uscis-immigration-usa-7208
that's the system they will use to check when you go at the airport. It helped me to pass thru because I knew what the airline employee was seeing + I showed it to them otherwise they were not letting me although we do not need a visa.
mr kAug 6, 2024
@Immigration Guy could you explain me how this will help me on immigration?
Immigration GuyAug 6, 2024
@E Hopeful what it helped me was more with the checkin counters where the employees were less educated on this and when I showed them the information there then they were able to orient themselves and give me my boarding pass. otherwise they were insisting I need a visa and they even turned their screen showing visa required (they don't get the visa exemption section on their end somehow)

mr kAug 6, 2024
@E Hopeful which airline do you think easiest for traveling Germany?since i will use RTD .
Immigration GuyAug 6, 2024
all of them use similar platform @mr k I'd go with whichever and show them the tool from that group. go check out that tool it'll make more sense
mr kAug 6, 2024
why don’t you tell me here?which one should I use.and apart of this your group asking me lot of sensitive information about me which I don’t want to share.
E HopefulAug 6, 2024
@mr k any airline would allow you to board. Just be confident in your answers and go with the print out showing the info I shared with you. All those details are on the German embassy. so they should do their homework. if you are dealing with an idiot, as it would not surprise me, please ask for the potential idiot’s supervisor to deep-dive and investigate further.
mr kAug 6, 2024
@E Hopeful do I need travel health insurance for visiting Germany?
E HopefulAug 7, 2024
health insurance not needed. just your RTD and a copy of your I-94 showing your status in the US.
E HopefulAug 7, 2024
and print the section that applies to your situation based on the links I shared with you as a backup.
mr kAug 7, 2024
@E Hopeful got it
Nov 9, 2024
do you have to show your I-94 @E Hopeful @Immigration Guy
Immigration GuyNov 9, 2024
you won't need i94 @ at least I didn't need it and don't recall anyone of my clients being asked that. still having a picture of it on your phone won't hurt
E HopefulNov 10, 2024
@ The immigration Guy is correct.
