you can travel anywhere in the world on your advance parole,
Kay Action š¤ŗš¤ŗš¤ŗJul 15, 2025
yes advance parole can take you out and you can travel but I wonāt advise you to use it for work due to this administration. Iām not trying to spread fear or any doubts at all. this is just my 2 cents. but again itās your choice if you want to try it. remember point of entries have different rules and officers so you canāt never tell what to expect. wishing you the best and if you do decide to try let us know how it goes.

Traveling on an advanced parole document out of the US, you can't stay for more than 2 months. At the same time, I would advise you to be very careful.

@Allon God who said its max 2 months?
Allon GodJul 16, 2025
While there isn't a strict maximum time, a person with AP can stay out of the U.S. with Advance Parole, it's recommended to keep your trips abroad as brief as possible, ideally no longer than 30 to 60 days, even if your Advance Parole document is valid for one to two years or even up to five years in some cases. Extended absences, even with valid Advance Parole, can raise concerns during re-entry and potentially impact your pending Green Card application or other immigration processes.

Iāve stayed over 4 months with AP and I re-entered successfully. Just secondary inspection as usual thatās all.

@tired from waitingg You can very well travel for work or vacation using advance parole. The only risk is your EAD and AP is based on I-485 pending. Knock on the wood, if VAWA decision shows up and if ever denied then i had heard some cases the I-360 together with the I-485 denies which will reflect the EAD and advance parole null and if you are outside US then it might be hard to reenter. Please check this question to a lawyer to clarify. I know one VAWA case who went to India for a vacation and her VAWA got denied but her I-485 wasnāt denied and so she rushed back to US where she was admitted.

@Tom Hankās Hans they are not connected tho 485 is connected to marriage so i think it would be not automatically denied But you are absolutely right gotta be careful did you start getting new PF for your new case? š
Tom Hankās HansJul 16, 2025
@tired from waitingg True! I had seen two situations and hence shared you to be aware but recommend to check with your lawyer and verify to be safe, sure and confident.
Yeah! Since my refile in Sep 2023, I received the first PF in Jan 2024 with a year validity and my second PF in Jan 2025 which was an extension of 6 months and lastly my 3rd PF on July 2025. Itās been almost 22 months since refiled. I am assuming it wondering from other cases that the current processing for approval takes between 36 and 45 months on average. So I could lay back and relax for another 1 to 2 years. In the meantime, I am waiting anytime this week for the H1B approval so that I can plan my travel by end of September for 3 weeks vacation and reenter using my h1B stamped visa and least worry about this VAWA thing š

@killian Bay, the H1B is an employment sponsor. A company has to sponsor you and before that you need to get through in the H1B lottery draw which is being conducted every February and October. Once you are selected and provided if any employer can sponsor you then you should be able to file H1B and once approved you are good to live and work in U.S. for 3 years. you can renew for another 3 years. in the meantime your employer will file the green card application and you can get the green card. But once the green card application is filed you will be able to indefinitely work with that employer as long as they need your service. You can exit and reenter US any number of time and itās safe.
