Traveling on Ap
Hello Fam! Is there anyone traveled back home after getting approved for I-131. Also I’m going to leave my F1 status. So my question is there going to be any problem while coming back. Also I’m going to start working for my employer after coming back.
Thanks

@the gladiator hi here is some of my thoughts also what I am doing now, first you can leave the school any time after you submit your I-485 and take the receipt. I have already received my EAD and AP. My PD is 12/20. what is your PD? I didn’t start to work for my sponson because there is no benefit to do that especially if your PD is 2021 or 2022. There are a lot people crying here on the community because they started to work and didn’t get their GC yet, it will be the same case for you my friend, wait your GC to be in hands otherwise you will be on your sponson hands, you couldn’t leave them after start to work without your GC in hands and believe you will want to leave. For advance Parole traveling I have been in the USA about 5 years I came with F-1 visa even I was allowed to travel before I never did, do you know what? because for me is very important to stay here I want to have my life here not in my home country anymore then now I received the AP and guess what? I will stay here until my GC in hands I have no reasons I mean strong reasons to leave the country, I understand some people miss their country but like I said there is no reason to leave and take the risk, even you have AP please read that, there is no guarantee the officer will allow you come back even there is a lot of people saying you can and they did with no issues, good luck for them, for me as I mentioned above the most important is stay here not travel out of the country, this is my advice for you and that’s I am doing now. I know some people think different and it is okay. I will stay here (safe) with no work for sponsor yet no travel out of country yet just waiting my GC that I can do whatever I want without asking or being afraid to do something like that. My friend wait a little more and be free as soon as you get your GC, good luck for all of us.

@EB3 UNSKILLED everyone wants life here but stop putting fear in people mind, anybody that has AP is safe to return unless that person has a record to worry about, AP is very safe

@O OC @icon obi My friends safe is your GC in hands, please tell me where this is wrote in your AP that “doesn’t matter what happens you have your enter guarantee” please tell me. Look at my comments here in the community I am a positive person here I never put fear in anyone, I am just giving my opinion, or am I wrong? I said you can go, the documents says that, however the safety way to travel will be when you have your GC in hands, you really think I am wrong? am I putting fear? Am I a looser to say that? Everyone knows their own situation, again safety entry will be GC in hands, otherwise even you have your AP the agent will decide it, you can say ow 100% of people that I know went there with no issues, okay I understand it no problem, you can go I am not saying you can’t, just be aware even you have it for some reason the agent can (don’t say no! they can refuse your enter. Reason for that ? everyone knows what did or didn’t do right.

@Gojo Satoru that’s I was saying I think those guys pretended not understand what I meant. Go and do whatever you want, we just need to understand what we are doing with our lives, simple like that.
EB3 UNSKILLEDApr 30, 2023
@Gojo Satoru yes I hope we have good news in October at least my PD 12/20. Did you start to work?
EB3 UNSKILLEDApr 30, 2023
@Gojo Satoru exactly, I tell everyone there is no advantage to start to work before your GC in hands, I have seen a lot of people asking in the community if they can stop to work before GC because some of them are more than a year or can’t stand anymore there, of course you can leave but they will try to put fear on you and the decision will be much more difficult than don’t start to work.

@EB3 UNSKILLED Thanks for your opinion. My pd is also same like yours 11/20. So its been already 18 months since I filled my Ap and haven’t gotten approved. I agree with your opnion but don’t you think so staying here is like a jail. They give Ap for some reason?

@the gladiator The Travel document is made to do just that. I have traveled 6x on AP on vacation, to my country, for work. No problem at all. You are not a prisoner and you are not doing anything wrong by traveling.
EB3 UNSKILLEDApr 30, 2023
@the gladiator @Abe pin yes guys I agree, I said you can for sure and probably like a lot of people are saying you won’t get any problem, but for me when I have 0.1% chance of someone can refuse my entry, because if you read your AP it is saying that “do not guarantee your entry” I will stay here until my GC in hands I waited until now I had F-1 visa stamped in my Passport and I never travel out of country, because it wasn’t a guarantee entry, I had friends that was studying with me that did it amd unfortunately they were deported at the airport when they came back, but they were with F-1 not AP okay, do you know guys what I meant here, we know and everyone knows how the life is difficult here, unfortunately there is no millionaires in my school. My advice is always be safe if have a risk think about it. I hope we get our GC soon then everything will be fix.

@the gladiator I have travelled to my country and I didn’t have any problem with re-entry. it was very smooth. the officer didn’t make any question about my life in US. My wife has travelled twice to our country in less of 30 days and she didn’t have any problem with both re-entry. I am not saying go, because this need to be your decision, but I wanted just share my experience with travel using AP. I never heard someone that didn’t re-entry here using AP. I agree with EB3 UNSKILLED on the AP is writing that re-entry is not guarantee, but I guess is not guarantee for who has committed a crime or if someone stayed out of status for a moment. if you have a good background I thinks it is very safe. This is my opinion 😀😀 Good luck with your decision 😉

@brcm yl Yeah, it's a tough decision. Many people can give you advice, but you're the only one who can decide. Good luck.

@gl fjo I hope you travelled to your home country and already back to US by now and not listened to these people who tried to stop you for no reason.
