Travel with Advance Parole (success story)
So after visa bulletin for F2A category is been stuck for months and I have my advance parole in hand I chose to go on vacation to Europe rather than waiting the visa bulletin is being current for my PD (April 2022). I tried to expedite my case several times but all the things I can get is only my advance parole instead of my greencard. Before leaving the US I already make sure with my local congressman and USCIS field office at federal building that my case is ok to prevent any difficulties while trying to re-enter, the good news is during the process I found out from USCIS agent that my case is actually ready to proceed but it’s stuck just because of the sake of the visa bulletin is no longer current. I went to Europe trip for 8 days with my PR husband and citizen baby, at the immigration entry point the staff is super nice, he asked us how’s our trip and how many days it was, he also welcoming our baby with smile and talk with polite with me that I need to follow him to the secondary inspection at CBP office. He told me he will tell the staff inside to make it easy for me since I am with my baby and he really did. I come inside with zero worries and everything went smooth. It’s really super fast, the police inside not even makes me sit down for the interrogation and just call my name to take my passport and my parole document which already stamped. I ask “just it?” and he said “yes, welcome back” 😊 The stamp is described my status is on AOS and they also put the validity of my advance parole. I know it’s going to be easy but I didn’t expect the staff will super kind and fast as well, lol! I hope this post would bring you guys who plans to travel a peace of mind and have a safe flight!

@Lulla Ycr Hello I do have same situation like you. I have my advance parole approved. But PD is not current for F2A. I was F1 student but 3 months ago I left the school. What is your status or what was your status here while waiting for green card.

you only need to maintain your status till you start your AOS process. I no longer renew my work visa after AOS now I even resign from my job.
