TRAVEL TO USVI
has anyone ever travel to St Thomas while pending VAWA application ? I do have my EAD/work authorization. but I wanted to know if anyone personally experienced it, coming back you do have to go through customs. how was that?

I traveled to Puerto Rico 3 years ago with just my foreign passport, and I didn't have a problem

There was no customs check, it's the same just when you travel to any other US state

Yes, there is a custom check at St. Thomas and you will be asked what your status in the US is. I was there 3 wks ago. Not sure how that works with a pending case, please ask your lawyer if you have one.

@Mi Sto my lawyers were scaring me todays saying they be custom in Puerto Rico? but no I can fly just with my id?

@nkr tt yes, puerto rico is US teritory, when i went to puerto rico i was with expired visa, i just showed my foreign passport for identification and theres no customs or border patrol. My friend who also was undocumnted went to puerto rico 4 times no problems, but again do your own research.
