Travel in advance parole
How many of you have travelled outside the country in advance parole and how was your experience? I am fed up of waiting for the green card and have decided to travel this summer in advance parole.

i travelled last May. It was a smooth entry. The officer just asked for my US address.

@ryo mori were you scared of not been able to come in? I am so scared don’t know why. been 8 years I saw my Mum.

I travelled to my home country in November, upon arrrival the officer just ask for my US address

@pinky Ak I know right. I feel like we are scared for no reasons. I haven’t heard about any bad experiences from those people who has travelled on advance parole

@Shri Shr true, I have a friend who used hers 2weeks ago. Am waiting to hear what her experience would be. that should motivate me I guess lol.
like how long can one be out for? because I plan on staying for 6weeks or 8weeks.
any idea?

@jamaican Queen thanks for sharing you experience. it’s encouraging because you are the second person I know that has used theirs, I hardly see people Post or talk about it. I even checked YouTube.

@pinky AK was your friend able to get back in to the states without any issues using her advance parole? does she have a pending i-485? and was this a vawa case approved?

@Shri Shr yes, she got back 2 days ago, she had a smooth entry.
She was only asked her address in the US and also if she is carry any food stuff.
she also said before she left for her home town, She called the USCIS to ask if she will be needing any paper work to travel, and they said she only need a valid Parole.
she stayed for almost a month.
And yes she it’s a VAWA case and I-485 is still pending.
VAWA not yet approved.
