Travel Document Renew
My travel document I-131 is expiring this upcoming September but my EAD I-765 is expiring in July 2024. I contacted my agent to help renew my I-131 (travel doc) but they said I can’t renew my I-131 separately and have to renew the I-131 and the I-755 together at the same time. Is that correct that I can’t renew I-131 separately ?

@Travis Tran NO you can't... but what you can do is reapply for the I-131 while your AOS is pending. And I think it's free of charge.

I have never heard one cannot renew both separate... I765 is 2yrs validity while I131 is 1year
Ofcourse one will expire before another
Can your agent point to where it is in USCIS stipulation you cannot apply at different times?

mine will expire in August and my lawyer said I can renew. my EAD won't expire until next year August. so I believe you can renew travel document without EAD

So since I’m gonna try to renew it myself, can you guys point me to any instructions to renew I-131 ? Any forms I need to file ? Where to submit the forms ? And do I have to do biometrics again ? @Tanya CB

I am not sure, I use a lawyer for all my paper works.
