Travel Document I 131
Hi everyone, it’s been almost a year since I started the I 130 petition for my husband. Since being a F2A category I don’t think this is going to approved in a couple of years. I’m planning to leave the country for two years while the time goes by. Does anyone know how long does it take to have the travel document in hands ?

it seems to be quick for some (few months), to much longer for others. I have been waiting 8 months.
I may be wrong, but I don't think you will be able to stay out of the US for such a long period. First of all, they are generally only valid for one year (unless you get a combo card which is valid for 2 years). And I also believe there are maximum travel periods...even so, I expect you would have trouble at CBP with such a prolonged absence. I would be very wary of doing this.

as LPR you can stay out of USA more than 6months if yes you need sign some papers before leave
so be awake of that

you can leave and come back but you have to attend all the Appointments like Biometric and interview if needed Also call uscis for more help
