I'm currently on an H-1B visa and have a pending I-485. I'm planning to travel to my home country. My H-1B visa is valid until April 2025, and I have a valid visa sticker for its expiration. I spoke with my ISO advisor about how traveling outside the U.S. could impact my Green Card application, especially when I have a pending I-485.
Is there any good reason for me to be concerned?

It should not be a problem as H-1B is a dual-intent visa. Best to consult a lawyer.

I traveled a few months back. Lawyer said it was not a problem.

do you have advance parole? if not I think you need that one so your I485 doesn’t get considered abandoned or something like that. ask a lawyer
