Transferring from Counslar Processing to Adjustment of Status
Dear Community,
I am wondering that if I secure a job in US then can I request NVC to transfer my case from IVP to Adjustment of Status even though I have paid the IVP fee and submitted DS260 form and all the required documents?

No I am abroad.

you will have to get a valid employment visa like H1B or L type in order to come to US. Then you can apply for AOS when you arrive. Tourist visa will not work for this

Your lawyer would probably have told you about the immigration intent. you should be able to justify that to the immigration officer as you are intending to applying AOS. Otherwise, your entry may be denied

if you are not in the US you can’t apply for adjustment. If you enter with a tourist visa you will most probably be denied entry as you have already the “intent” to immigrate
