Tracking Transferred Cases
For people who are wondering how USCIS is processing the cases that are being transferred to NBC, you can use the following website: https://hilites.today/uscis_cases/cohort
I recommend accessing the website on a computer. You’ll see a graph with the number of cases sorted by status and date of transfer. You can use the filter buttons to adjust the view as needed.
In my case, I adjust the view as follows:
case_type: I-485
Select date range: December 1 2023 - December 31 2023 (my case got transferred on December 22)
case_center: SRC_SC (I filed the I-485 in the texas service center)
Here are the stats for people whose I-485 application got transferred from TSC to NBC in December:
- No additional updates: 70% (2,785 people)
- RFE was sent: 21% (827 people)
- Responded to RFE: 2% (81 people)
- Approved: 0.3% (11 people)

Indeed @Ellie Bdy, I also thought it was great news when my case moved to NBC on Dec 6th, now I’m not sure anymore! 🥺🥺

@Ellie Bdy @Mario Ayres the good news is that more than 23% of the cases have received an RFIE which shows that the NBC is actively working on those cases. I believe we will all receive the decisions at around the same time.

@Chris H Basing my assumption on last year’s trend. It’s not the first time that TSC does a bulk transfer of I-485 cases to NBC. It happened in April 2022, and most applicants received their approvals after 60 days. Based on current trends, we will likely hear back in approx. 90 days after the transfer. This stat could also be found on the same website under tab “Case Status Explorer”.
Regarding the RFIE, not sure if they are being sent by NBC or FOs, waiting to receive mine in the mail to check where it has been sent from.

What I really regret was doing concurrently filing! A couple of friends (even with I-140 approved after mine) sent I-485 later on and already received their GC…. 🥺🥺

@Mario Ayres I fully agree! I also regret doing this. Had I filed my I-485 separately, it would have been directly sent to NBC instead of staying uselessly at TSC for 6 months 😪
for the whatsapp group, open the link using the lawfully app, then click on the three dots (…) on the top right of your screen and tap on “open with browser”. Then click on the safari button at the bottom right of your screen and it should work.

I filed on Nov 2023, case transferred from Texas to NBC on Dec 19. I received an RFE from NBC to send them Birth certificate (seems like they lost it), I replied to RFE immediately and they asked me to send it to NBC.
