It varies. Typically after submission of all proofs, you should get in one week.

@R S me and my depends got EAD card already. So it’s not a combo card we got. I was hoping for combo car but in our case they didn’t approve it. Now I am in a need for urgent travel so I asked my attorney to expedite the i-131 request.

@Charlie SC proofs are all submitted as it’s medical related urgency of my mother back home. I provided the doctor notes and medical tests/reports. Hopefully they will consider those and approve my request. Btw, is there any way to check status of that referral number assigned on top of i-131 application? I see it says “On August 5th, your request to have your case expedited, Referral number MSC215xxxxxxxMSC was assigned to an officer for response”. How can we check status on above given MSC reference number or we can’t?

there’s no way you can check your status until your case is approved or denied. they will first contact you via email in about a week, telling you that you’ll need to fax additional support documents before they can make a decision. My experience is, fax all your documents and keep faxing. yes, keep faxing. I faxed the totally of 6 times, and well within a week they update my status to be case approved
