time for Mandamus
any reasonable/cheap Mandamus lawyers in the USA? need help on my pending Vawa since 2020.
I took a help of congressman and my lawyer, they both sent inquiry and reply came back with saying “Security check pending”. is it still worth to go for Mandamus when security check is pending since years.

yes, go for it . without that they will not give you answer and your case will be stuck for 2 yrs more

they haven’t even answered my congressman I am 4 years of waiting I will do mandamus too but after travel home and back but they charge $5k thats sucks part

if uscis had any reason why your case is under security check , they can didn’t issue mandamus for the reason. ask your lawyer about it. if you are sure you don’t have any criminal record you can do it.im waiting since 2019 and every 3 month my congressperson makes me status update and always same response, background security check since 2021. bc from 2021 my case is out of normal processing time . if you have strong case you can do mandamus otherwise you will get NOID

With background checks, mandamus may or may not work, a chance, there is an option to do so as pro se. Do youtube search "writ of mandamus pro se" many people got helped from there.

thank you everyone. getting few mandamus lawyers opinion and then deciding. it’s a complex scary thing, I am scared to do mandamus.
