this confirms - there is no order of execution. my case is from Texas and sent to NBc in sept and pd is may 2022. I see your pd is June 2022. if a case from June has processed and may is pending - confirms the order of processing!!

@kish bans I agree with what you’ve said regarding the overall process and also want to add that there are nuances where it seems each case moves at different speeds through each step as well April’s case was ahead of mine on biometrics by a week and ahead by almost a month on the transfer to NBC

@Sanket, you came to know that the case transferred from TCS to NBC only after chatting with the agent or you had any intimation or update in your case when it happened in October? just trying to understand how we will know either case is transferred to NBC or not. I have similar timeline, where EAD approved in first week of September then I-140 approved at end of the October, other than that, do not see any status on 485 transfer to NBC from NCS till now.

@S R I received an online update and a letter in the mail notifying me of transfer of case from TSC to NBC. As per the letter, this was done to speed up processing of the case. The transfer to Cincinnati Field Office became known to me only after I spoke with an agent.

@ S R based on the information you’ve shared, it seems your case hasn’t been transferred yet.

@S R Thank you so much! No need to apologize, I can completely understand your current state of mind. Not having clear information about your application with a life altering process like this is very unsettling. When I had a chat with an agent prior to the NBC transfer I pushed for an update regarding my Advance Parole document saying I have travel plans. The agent didn’t give any specific response, just told me to expect either an interview or a decision as the next update, and did not give me a timeline. Also, when I followed up the first time after transfer of the case to NBC, around November 28th, the agent told me my case is at the Dallas Field Office. These agents on chat are highly unreliable and very flippant in my experience. I would suggest that you keep following up every week requesting a status update and do not be disheartened by their crappy attitude. I wish you the best. You will get the updates and a decision soon.

I just talked to live agent - he/she said my case is still with NBC and there is no timeline when it be sent to FO. they also mentioned- not all cases are being sent to FO

congrats Sanket. My case got transferred to NBC on Nov 1. Emma agent still says its with NBC. Normally what you suggest to followup every week for field office update? also the status doesn't change after field office transfer?

Hi Arijit, thanks! I would suggest to follow up and ask for estimated processing time. They will ask you to check on the website, just respond back saying there is no estimate available for NBC. That’s when they will provide a field office name if and when your case has been transferred. At least that’s how I found out. Yes, case status does not update when a field office transfer occurs.

Hi Sanket .. My I-485 was transfered to NBC MO office on 26-Sep-22. Since then no movement and not any update too. when I try Emma I am always presnted to their uscis FO list page and hence frustating . can you please suggest as to what can I type in the Chat with Emma to know where my application is ?

Hi Vikas, You should tell the agent that there is no way to find estimated processing time for NBC. Sooner or later they will tell you which field office your case is at, provided the case has transferred to a field office. I say this because some cases are not getting transferred apparently, based on others’ experiences on Lawfully. But this is how I found out about my case. Hope this helps.

Sharing my experience - when I called USCIS after NBC transfer in Aug 2022, they told me it was at NY field office, then I asked them a week ago if they can check when was the last time an adjudication officer touched it & they said early Nov, so no movement on my case by the officer since early Nov. I’m just curious now why no movement on the case after 2 months, medicals were already submitted with original filing…but at least I know its in NY field office…

Thanks Sanket actually I am not sure if I am the one not able to place my wuestion to emma properly since it gives the standard answers and redirects to other pages. also while I try to connect the USCIS number that is even automated and gives recites the same status as online . so I m not able to connect the actual person there . Is there any specific contact number for the customer care ?

Hi Vikas, When the chat window opens type in ‘live agent’. The bot should then give you options to select from, regarding the purpose for your request. Select the first option ‘case status’. After that it will ask you to enter your case # or A #. Provide that information and then it should connect you to a live agent. Ask for further guidance as you need. All the best!

Hello Congrats on your approval. I sent my 485 in Oct. 140 was approved before sending 485.. Cases have directly gone to NBC.. receipt no starts with MSC…

thanks Sanket for your help and I enquired the way you suggested. The agent mentioned my case is with NBC only for eversince it was transfered there for past 2.5 months and not been transfered to any FO

Hi Jado Alio, to my understanding visas run out when the annual country cap is reached before the end of that year, for a specific country

@kish bans, don't lose your hope. yesterday I saw on Trackitt a person from India filed eb1c on 2nd of May 2022 concurrently was approved on 13th of December. I hope you will get it till the end of year.

Hi Sanket, congratulation to you. My application was filed Oct 21 to Texas center , when I was in California , this year I moved to. Chicago. I changed my address and by sep 15 I got my EAD and a Oct 12 I got notice that your case moved to NBC and later they updated that status we are using your fingerprints and jurisication of local field office . and then after no status. I haven’t received my I 140 yet. does retrogression will impact my case they filing date and final action date both are from April and June 22 and my case was filed last year . do you use any specific no. connect the USCIS . please suggest , it would be helpful. thank you

Hi Prasenjit I believe your priority date is from last year as you filed last year. Based on this I believe retrogression should not affect your case. I contacted USCIS using the live chat feature, I have never called their number. Hope this helps. All the best.

I had a word with the live agent again and shockingly he mentioned - my case is still with TSC and not transferred to NBC ever. last time they said it’s with NBC. now I am confused whst does the status - cases has been transferred to an office which has jurisdiction means which was updated 4 months back

do you have transfer notice?

yes I have a transfer notice which clearly mention that the case was moved to NBC MO . that’s why I am shocked when the agent said it was never moved to NbC ever

Hi kish bans, My case moved to NBC on 25th October and I found out about Field Office transfer from an agent on December 5th. Case was approved on December 7th. Not sure how long it was at NBC and when it moved to the Cincinnati Field Office, during that timeframe.
