yep, it was a wild ride. immigration to the US sometimes is. it is not for the faint of heart. so I read you requested cis ombudsman help recently. i can tell you from my experience that ombudsman inquiries to uscis were very helpful, both for i-130 and then again for i-485. it looks like processing times for i-130 in Vermont service center is 15 months and that puts us upto September 19, 2023. also, the system said that the earliest you can submit inquiry is December 9, 2023. Of course you don't have to wait that long and can submit inquiry right now. overall, I dont think you will wait until 2030. no crystal ball here but it looks like you will receive uscis decision in the next few months.
