@Scarelyn G I received a RFE 11/16/23. I couldn't believe they asked for more evidence of our relationship. pictures, affidavit, and more. my stepdaughter is my sponsor. I don't know if USCIS understand basis parenting rights. As a stepparent we are to support and love our stepchild. all correction and daily nourishment is given by blood parents. so that is how I handle our relationship and everyone is growing happy. no arguments or misunderstanding. My case is standing on someone desk and praying for an approval so I can go see my family members. This is very difficult and extremely stressful.
I hope you get your RFE response and soon after an approval.
