Sarah nahhhAug 10, 2025
explain. did you get an approval? what do you mean you didn’t get an interview?
A KAug 10, 2025
@Makhliyo Muratova if you entered via Mexico border then USCIS closed your case that’s normal because your case should be with the immigration court.
advokatiz bormi?

@LN Asylee We closed your application and we informed you of the reason when we notified you in writing. You must contact the USCIS office that has been handling your application if you believe we should not have closed your application.

If an affirmative asylum application is closed, it means the case is no longer actively being processed by USCIS (U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services). This can happen for various reasons, such as failure to appear for an interview or not responding to a request for evidence. A closed case can be reopened under certain circumstances, but it's important to understand the specific reasons for closure and the potential next steps
TRS HopefullyAug 11, 2025
Reasons for Closure:
Failure to Appear for Interview:
If an applicant fails to attend a scheduled asylum interview, USCIS may close the case.
Failure to Respond to Requests:
If an applicant does not respond to a Request for Evidence (RFE) or other requests from USCIS, the case may be closed.
Administrative Closure:
In some situations, a case might be administratively closed, which is a temporary pause in processing. This is often done while waiting for a related case (like a removal proceeding) to be resolved.
TRS HopefullyAug 11, 2025
Consequences of Closure:
Loss of Asylum Eligibility:
Closing the case can mean losing the opportunity to have the asylum claim reviewed and potentially granted.
Impact on Employment Authorization:
If the case is closed, any pending employment authorization based on the asylum application may also be affected.
Reopening a Closed Case:
Requesting Reopening:
Applicants can request to have their case reopened if they have a good reason for the failure to appear or respond.
Establishing Good Cause or Exceptional Circumstances:
To reopen, applicants need to demonstrate good cause (if within 45 days of the missed interview) or exceptional circumstances (if more than 45 days have passed) for the failure to appear, according to USCIS.
Referral to Immigration Court:
If a case is not reopened and the applicant is not in lawful immigration status, USCIS may refer the case to immigration court for removal proceedings.
TRS HopefullyAug 11, 2025
Key Considerations:
Time Sensitivity:
It's crucial to respond to USCIS requests and address any issues promptly, as delays can lead to case closure and potentially negative consequences.
Legal Advice:
If your affirmative asylum case has been closed or you are facing issues with your asylum application, it is highly recommended to seek legal advice from an experienced immigration attorney

@Makhliyo Muratova advokatiz bomi?
A KAug 12, 2025
@Makhliyo Muratova you were never supposed to be in USCIS if you entered through the border. Immigration court should have jurisdiction over your case, hire an experienced attorney.
