The Wait Is Eating At Me Slowly
Honestly I’m just looking for some words of encouragement, so I don’t mentally and physically lose it. Upon looking at my timeline you might wonder why it took over a month to send medical and that alone was just obstacles upon obstacles. Yall I really am just overwhelmed and stressed.

try and reach out to your congressman or better yet write to the ombudsman they might contact USCIS making them actively work on your application.

Mrkvica M.Jun 27, 2024
@blessed & favored ombudsman didn't do nothing for me. 😔
Vanderbilt DartulingJun 27, 2024
@Mrkvica M. what do you think if I write a letter straight to Vermont center ? to ask them why …
M
Mrkvica M.Jun 27, 2024
@Mr uscis blog you can do that. You are allowed to send inquiry yourself but I would def first wait for congressman response because they will def respond to your congressman
Vanderbilt DartulingJun 27, 2024
@Mrkvica M. ok thank you but we not gonna forget is because my congressman they reopen the case I don’t if he gonna do something else or but I’m gonna give them 30 days
M
Mrkvica M.Jun 27, 2024
@Mr uscis blog look, give congressman a call before the holiday and just double check if they received response. If, not, as you said, give it 30 days and then send inquiry directly to uscis

@blessed & favored that’s exactly what I did. I reached out to my congressman and he let me know he’s going to reach out to them. my case is currently at the field office. Thank you for the suggestion!

@Mrkvica M. yess I saw you filed in 2018 and omggg I have no idea how you’re holding through. much respect to you fr. thank you for the encouragement. I hope you get your freedom soon too. Sending successful and freedom your way!
M
Ms. Greencard HolderJun 27, 2024
@tired from waitingg Yeahh it’s really hard not trying to compare yourself to other cases especially when you see people who filed in 2020 or 2021 the exact same way getting their GC. I literally told my congressman about that too. we spoke on the phone and I just used it as a venting session lol. glad he was nice enough to just listen to me vent. Hopefully it lights a spark in my case. So many plans to travel with my family this year and now would be the best time to have that GC!

@remaining hopeful thank you!! Sending good vibes to you too! They transfered your case pretty fast to FO. Mine is also in FO so I guess we are waiting for the interview now. Somehow I have a feeling that we will be done this year
M
Mrkvica M.Jun 27, 2024
@remaining hopeful I also told my congressman that people who applied fee years after me already have a GC in their hand 😔
M
Ms. Greencard HolderJun 27, 2024
@Mrkvica M. it’s actually been in FO since January I believe. how I found out was by reaching out to the congressman and he reached out to USCIS and then forwarded me their response and at the bottom is said my city FO. Oooh I didn’t know interviews would occur if your case goes to the FO
M
Ms. Greencard HolderJun 27, 2024
@Mrkvica M. honestly USCIS is annoying as it is so I’m actually thankful that at least we have access to our congressman to reach out to for help/getting the latest update
M
Ms. Greencard HolderJun 27, 2024
@Mrkvica M. we gotta be done this year. preferably before election😭
M
Mrkvica M.Jun 27, 2024
@remaining hopeful oh, so FO send you RFE for medical? I received my RFE from NBC and then afterwards I found out that my case was transfered to FO. From what I read (and this doesn't mean that thia info is correct), when NBC has your I-485 they can suggest to FO to waive your interview and sometimes NBC can approve your case. That's why I thought that most cases that arrive to FO will be scheduled for interview. Do you know any different information?
M
Mrkvica M.Jun 27, 2024
@remaining hopeful oh, trust me. I think everybody is scared of these elections 😱😳
M
Ms. Greencard HolderJun 27, 2024
@Mrkvica M. yes FO are the ones who sent my medical rfe and so that’s where I sent the documents to. I actually haven’t even done any research on it but I will now. I do know in the past I used to call USCIS to inquire about my case and I kid you not their exact responses through multiple people were “I can’t see anything. it’s like my pay grade doesn’t allow me to view your case, but it looks like it’s in Vermont Service Center.” and then reaching out to congressman back in January 2024 showed me it was in FO
M
Ms. Greencard HolderJun 27, 2024
@Mrkvica M. Ohh I do see in my records that my very 1st rfe which was like proof of my birth certificate although I had sent that already, came from NBC in December of 2021. 2 years after I find my I-360 & I-485 together. so then they put in the system they received 12/28/21 and then I never heard back until congressman forward email in January of 2024 and I saw it was from Atlanta field office and then 05/2024 which was rfe for medical which was received by them 06/12/24 and that’s where we are
M
Mrkvica M.Jun 27, 2024
@remaining hopeful oh wow, OK. At least we know that our cases are somewhere 🤣
