I got my receipt in mail after 25 days of applying, but biometric came at day 11 in mail. you can always ask Emma at website for early access of your receipt number if they already cashed your cheque

thanks @Y J and @Kevin Rowe . my lawyer just told me that the check for the filing fee has not yet been cashed because “the mailroom probably needs to check with a supervisor on the cross chargeability” but Emma (live agent) said that that determination is done by the officer. So I’m now more confused than ever.

@Y J as an update, I spoke to USCIS (7 calls to get a live agent) and they used my SSN and Alien number to pull up my file and was told that the application is still not on his system. That can either mean the processing agent didn’t understand cross chargeability OR they are so backlogged that they still have not processed my application for intake. any advice on how to proceed?

hi BJ, we received our receipts after 4 weeks, after an additional 2 weeks, we received biometric appointment notice. hope this helps. my advise is to wait an additional 2 weeks. thanks.

I received my receipt via a text message from USCIS still waiting for the mail.

@Amirah Abdullah how long after submission was received by USCIS? mine was received by USCIS on 3/22 and they have still not cashed my check (I called USCIS)

my case was sent on 3/28 and received a receipt on April 5th.
