you receive case number in about 2 to 3 weeks. you have to add case maually in ur uscis account. they might take around a year to approve that i824 ☹️

yes like i-130, u will get a reciept notice with the the reciept number, so u can track ur i-824 process like i-130, but sorry for that will need to wait for more than a year to get approval unless its in the calfornia service center

@claudia diaz the long process is depend on which service center they mentioned on that letter, mine was texas so its around 12 months.

When the beneficiary already has the visa, they must buy the ticket to the United States for a round trip or a one-way trip.

On April 5 they received my i824 and I still haven't received anything

@Intan P Did they take your form fee when you got the receipt #. Because they did not take my money yet, so I am confused if they recieved but forgot to process the form.

@T Ngo You have to pay first through uscis web or through post office, and send the i-824 together with the payment evidence

@T Ngo my husband didnt knew that he needs to pay first, and that time we already sent it. But after we contact EMMA and chat the live agent, they said its okay just send another form together with payment evidence. The first form we sent (which has no payment evidence) will got rejected and sent back to us automatically.

@ did you put the payment evidence together with the form? For the ticket, one way trip would be enough since you gonna stay in US.

@Intan P the form I had sent in 2023(invalid form), so I was wasted time to wait. Finally, I submit new form and sent them to the lock box.They charged the fee immediately. This is so frustrated that took 5 month to knew this situation.
