The end of my Journey
I passed my interview today. It started with the civics test, followed by the reading and writing test. After that, the officer asked questions from my application. The civics questions I was asked were:
What is an amendment?
For how many years do we elect a U.S. Representative?
What do we show loyalty to when we say the Pledge of Allegiance?
Who lived in America before the Europeans arrived?
When do we celebrate Independence Day?
Name two national U.S. holidays.
At the end of the interview, I was asked whether I had brought two biometric photos. I said I hadn’t, so the officer told me my case would be placed on hold. However, they said that if I brought the photos later the same day, they would submit the approval. I brought the photos within two hours, and my application was approved. My case status has now changed to “waiting for the oath ceremony.”
I wish everyone the best of luck.
