The congress person I contacted back in May of this year, their office has called me 3 times in the last few weeks with false hope.
I know they have the right case numbers, I have given them the numbers in the waiver, over the phone, and by email. They contacted me saying USCIS approved a case, and it's not even clear if it is an i131 or combo travel/EAD, and they sent me the email from USCIS which includes a case number I have never seen and cannot confirm is my husband's. The last time they called me was this past Thursday, asking if I had received the document they said I should be receiving. I have not heard anything at all from USCIS. They said they would call USCIS back on Friday and I am waiting to hear what is happening.
Has anyone else had this experience? No help from congress and we haven't heard anything about the expedite request we put in for his EAD on July 31st. We are considering consulting an attorney for help. I am at a loss. I have no idea what is holding up his work authorization.

@JENNIE . We just tried that and they said that case number is for someone with the same first name. We are still waiting to hear back from the congress persons office about it. As for the expedite request, they said it can take up to 30 days to hear from USCIS about it. 8 days to go...
