you need to get that corrected immediately. contact your lawyer asap. I know someone with the same issue. luckily they got it resolved by filling a new i140 with the correct category and matching it to their existing i485. so please take action immediately

my i140 approval is other worker and it's correct. But the i485 approval notice is wrong category.

Hey, I have the same issue. Mine is also E36 instead of EW8. My date isnt current as well. My PD is April 2021. My lawyer advised me to contact the uscis right away because this is a serious issue. He filed a public inquiry and now my case is reopened. My lawyer worked for the uscis for 7+ years and he has a hunch they will revoke our green card because it was erronously issued. I havent received a final decision yet, but if it does happen, they will revoke your green card and you cant do much except wait for your date to be current. This sucks for me because i wasnt even issued EAD. No more OPT… best of luck man but definitely get this resolved asap and dont work for your employer until its resolved.

@Nathan R the only and final solution is hold on to the gc (you can work), tell bdv lawyer to fucking file a public inquiry to tell uscis officer to reopen/review again (if its closed) your I-765 application. Once you have the EAD, return the gc. because uscis cant do shit if we keep holding on to the incorrectly issued gc. They even cant issue you the new/correct one until you return the current green card. Dont panic. Just work with bdv even though they’re rats. Just keep bugging them. I believe we and definitely some others are on the same boat. This shit is annoying but its resolvable but you have to act now.

@Jack Nguy Brother i have my EAD valid till 2025 May. Hopefully They will reopen my case and got it resolved. There was also another guy he said he joined Army and got his citizenship within months. Can we stay in touch and see how it goes. You can email me at skjunu22@gmail.com
