The anxiety is getting worse every day!
we filled on November 6, 2019. We had our interview on January 25th, 2021. On getting to the office we had to wait for more than 3 hours. We had to complain before we were called in. The interview went well, and the officer said everything should be fine and we should expect a response within a month. He said the officer in charge of our case was absent and he was just assigned to that case that morning, hence the delay I guess. Also, he didn’t ask us about the mariage evidences we came with, and we didn’t bother to submit because we thought he didn’t need them. Fastforward, on September 15, 2021, we had a visit from 2 officers. They asked us many questions and when they were leaving, one of them said we shouldn’t worry much and we should expect to hear from our case in month. He however precised that they weren’t the ones to adjudicate. This is going to 2 months, still crickets. Not even RFE. Worse again my EAD has expired and it’s been more than 6 months we applied for renewal. Further enquiries say they are still running background checks. Anyone in similar situations? What should we do in this situation?

my friend in this same situation, interviewed since 2018 ,no update no decision. pending background checks,although she was previously married .

I guess they suspected you guys aren’t living together , do you or your wife receive mails at any other adress?

@cantone sp: They found us in our house but couldn’t come in coz of Covid protocols. My wife doesn’t use another address.

@JB Eric I don’t know what the matter with Atlanta office. It seems there is a lot of delay! also, I checked online and it seems it has the longest processing time.

Had my Interview Dec 2020. RFE June 2021. Still no decision yet.
