Thanks everyone who stood by us thru this process!
The duration may not be that long when compared to others, but to get to the starting point we had to undergo horrible experiences. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who helped us directly or indirectly

hey, congratulations! Very happy for you. could you please let us know your field office and any other details that you can?
Deepak BaskaranApr 30, 2023
thanks everyone! We are Indians and our PD was 9th Aug’21. And yes it is MSC2390**** and it is Seattle FO. we took a little time between I-140 and I-485 as we went to India while pending I-140. I-140 got RFE’d in the month of april’22. we came back to USA and then provided additional documents for the RFE. I-140 got approved in the month of august. Then medical tests took us a while as we adults had little medical and vaccination history except covid vaccination. so had to run some extensive tests and had to take a couple of shots. Also, the initial tests for TB turned positive so we had to do xray which proved otherwise. This costed us almost 4 months of delay between I-140 approval and I-485 filing. we had too many questions during the entire process to which our attorney helped patiently. Most of our anxiety and restlessness were because our L1/L2 got expired in the month of december’22 and EoS petitions were pending as well. We filed L1/L2 EoS and I-485 almost at the same time. so, the probability of L1/L2 EoS denials before EAD decision would force us to leave the country immediately and then we would have to move I-485 to consular processing. That would have pushed us back by atleast a year and as we all know now that EB1 priority retrogressed, we would have gotten ourselves into a potential commitment fallacy. We had a resolution that if i485 takes long time or turns out bad, we go back to India by end of 2023 and took a one attempt leap and it turned out well.

@Deepak Baskaran For sure, luck is in your favor! try buying lottery! 😀 by the way, you ever received EAD card?
Deepak BaskaranMay 1, 2023
@Nope Nope 😊it happened with my company’s and attorney’s support. It would be unjust to put this entirely on luck, though PD went current due to covid situation in 2021… GC arrived one week after EAD, so I never had to use EAD.
