i see- I am in the same boat. PD 12/22. CRP since Feb 24.

Congratulations, my PD is December 5th 2022 just a day before you and filed 485 on October 19th 2023, a day before you also. 😊I’m still waiting for decision after interview.

@Mr Whiz Our interviews were waived, including my wife, 2 kids (9 and 7 years old), and myself (principal applicant). My 9 yrs old daughter was not approved, but received RFE. I did everything by myself cos I could not afford to hire an attorney to handle 4 applicants.

@Raul MayorI recently completed my studies as a Ph.D. candidate in Mechanical Engineering, with a focus on aerospace materials. Got approval for EAD before my graduation! Never used OPT and the EAD.

@Sa O , Congratulations! so your case was ready to scheduled for an interview before? and how they notify you that your interview was waive?

@J E No, it was never scheduled for an interview! Live agent informed me that my interview was waived before it was placed on CRP.

@Sa O , ahh I see, thanks for the information, mine was ready to schedule for an interview for 3 months already and until now nothing has been schedule date for interview, hopefully i got the update very soon and it will be good if they will waive the interview also coz i also have my wife and 3kids included on my application.

@Sa O Thats great! Congratulations 🎉 I’m planning to submit my I140 NIW soon with enough evidences as much as I can. How was your experience like from the filing date to the approval without no Premium Processing I believe? Yours seemed faster!

@Kun A It came as a huge surprise that my I-140 took 49 days under normal processing. Additionally, my profile for the petition was very strong. My skills and expertise are in materials for aerospace (Additive manufacturing and surface optimization). One of my research work was funded by Department of Defense!
