I am SRC NIW May applicant. It is tough.

Texas center is very slow, still struggling with a huge backlog. Currently, they are focused on I-765, and they are processing around 800 applications per day (https://public.tableau.com/app/profile/sprckt/viz/SRC-I765-DAILYCardProductionforReceivedates/Sheet1). They are working on applications from Nov 2020. For I485, they are processing a few per day, and we will see what they are planning to do regarding the GC backlog. It is very frustrating when you see that the National Benefit Center processing 100x faster.

you’re right. My 485 was sent to NBC but then transferred to my I-140 in Texas cos they said it would make processing faster, that was 11 months ago. I have my EAD till 2023 October and i140 approved so I know it’s only a matter of time.

Same here I’m a EB2 NIW, I-140 already approved October 2021, I was transferred from NBC to texas on July 2021, my i485 with PD 06/12/2020, still waiting to receive Medical RFE for Texas. I did a service request and the response I got is that my case is in line to be processed.

NIW RFE Medicals submitted in August 2021 an still waiting, my EAD extension expired so we are currently unemployed and keep getting denied for expedite (TSC). it's a very stressful situation 😢.

Mine i485 was transferred to TSC from NBC. Fillig date Oct 29,2020. No updates since fingerprints. 11 months of silence 🥲

I have similar timeline but what surprise me is that NBC is now processing and approving GC for 2022 applications while Texas still struggling in 2020 applications. why they do not transfer the case back to NBC, particularly those which have NIW approved .

do you guys think that EAD processing times will improve now that they are focusing on that or we should expect the full 13months? for example my PD is 7/6/21. should I expect EAD on August this year?

my PD is 05/2011 , filed 485 in June 2021, NBC transferred to TSC for faster processing no update till now. so filed again 485 to NBC in EB2 category

For an EAD renewal with an approved I140 we should not have to be waiting for all these months and losing our jobs. They want us to be self sufficient, but how are we supposed to do that if we applied on time, an still waiting 8 months later for a renewal?

@dana it’s still in Texas @carlos that’s a very similar timeline to mine @jessica don’t give up they’ll remember us soon. @kizzy keep ramping up the expedite requests, different officers handle each request, I pray your request gets to one who would approve you. @NK I feel you. all the service centers are backlogged now, I hope something happens soon @almost I think they’re mostly focusing on EADs at the moment so they should be approving yours soon hopefully. @Kizzy I’m so perplexed! it’s just a renewal, theres no major work to renew but they just seem to have taken a backseat with immigration processing. I see approvals here day in day out. I pray especially for the people needing EAD that it will come soon. please don’t give up!

@almos there, it should be better and faster. Backlog is caused (beside covid, Trump…) mainly because of applications from Oct 2020. It took them 7 months to process whole month, around 26k applications. If they decide to keep this tempo, you won’t have to wait too long for your EAD. Also, there is a rumor that USCIS will introduce premium processing for I-765.

Dana the premium processing for 765 is just waiting for USCIS to implement it or something like that. I don’t know when, but they introduced that idea last year I believe. Hopefully everything works out for the better. good luck to everyone!

I am also eb2 niw, transferred from nbc to texas on February 2021. I140 approved on March 2021. PD may 2020, submitted medicals on August 2021, no news since then… my i485 is still pending, 2 expedite request denied (with normal processing time they said).

My i-485 pd is April 2018, my i-140 was approved Aug 2020, still no GC… Texas center Eb2-NIW… just got my EAD renewal approved this week after 15 months…

btw my I765 renewal came a week ago with 2 yrs validity for my EB2 NIW
