I had my combo approved last week. 31st march filler. the i485 is still ready to be scheduled no update

I’ve seen a few Januarys get approved, along with random June/July petitions which makes no sense… I’m PD 2/26/21 Texas

PD March 2 here no approval yet been actively reviewing since May 21 hopefully we get the approval before holidays !

i saw a March 2 case approved. I’m February 26th, still waiting

Aren’t cases supposed to go in a first come first serve basis? I wonder if having a lawyer really does make a difference to move it along. Not that I can afford one 🤭 it’s comforting to see some February and a random March case get approved. I wish good luck for everyone.

I filed concurrently since Feb 2020 and I have only gotten my i-140 approved (on April 2021). I am still waiting on my i485 approval. I have a lawyer too. So, no it does not make a difference. And no, cases are not processed on a first come first serve basis.

Someone said they are processing April 15th 2021 now (For I-130’s) The bouncing around really does not make sense. There must be something that makes cases receive priority. Does anyone have a clue what that could be? maybe a pregnancy or a terminal illness?

it’s honestly just a lottery of what service center you’ll get and how quick your officer will be.
