Taking longer than expected...
Well, as I feared, when I checked my case yesterday it changed from 1 week to " your case is taking longer than expected.." blah blah.. you know the rest..
I just do not understand why they changed it so dramatically from 7 months to 4 weeks in a matter of less than 3 weeks , if this was gonna be how it went?? I ABSOLUTELY understand that there are some of you that have been waiting a great deal longer (*hugs to you* - this is torture).
Anyone else dealing with the same?

don’t want to get your hopes up, but several of the USCIS threads I follow on Reddit have petitioners that shared the same experience (dramatic decrease in timeline, followed by the dreaded taking longer than expected notification) and ended up getting approved pretty quickly following the notification (within days to a few weeks). I’m also Potomac so please come back to update us and good luck!

Yes - the same happened to me. it went from months to weeks and when it got down to 1 Week it changed to “Ylir Case is taking longer than expected “. I felt like the wind was knocked out of me 🥲

mean while just make sure that you havent made any mistake while filing i 130, specially about where your spouse will be taking the interview. make aure you have only one address instead of two or zero. or u ll end up filing a form called i 824.
