I asked my lawyer and she recommended to stay at least 3-6 months after receiving the gc, as you may face an issue when applying for naturalization

what’s the rule? 6 months after you get your gc or from the date of employment?

my lawyer mentioned the same thing. he said it is all about the intent of working for your sponsor. if you quit right after gc approved, you might get into trouble when you apply for gc renewal or citizenship. if you stay for 6 months after gc approved, USCIS won’t question you about your intent and you won’t have an issue with naturalization. otherwise, they would review your application more thoroughly about the reasons behind it.
