Supplement J after getting fired (plant or production environment)
I hope everyone is happy after this visa bulletin movement today.
I need to find a new employer after getting fired from my old job. Any idea how I can find a job that will provide me with Supplement J if needed? My position with old employer is general Laborer in a Factory and I got fired after working for 2 years. I am looking for a sponsor who would hire me for general laborer position. Factory/production environment is something I am looking for. I am currently at Georgia but planning to move to Dallas area.
please suggest/help me if you know anyone or any company. It would be great even if you can provide me with HRs contact info, i can apply and communicate with them too.

which production company were you working for in Georgia?

you can look into the companies that applied and got approved for PERM recently. I think that will be the easiest way to find employers in the area that you want. Google DOL performance data and download the Excel from the website. Then you can sort out by job title

you can apply for the same position of any company and ask if HR can help u to fill in 485j if they can help, this form to confirm the job offer is silimar or the same as your LC

@im tired @Appa Appa .When changing jobs, can any company file a supplement j if the job is the same or similar, or only the one that went through the process and approved a PERM?

they just need to sign the Sup J. i was directing you to the pool of employers that sponsors the same soc code as you currently have. Once change job, you dont need to go through the process again. Just need someone willing to sign the form. That’s it

@Appa Appa Thanks, but my question is The company has never sponsored anyone and has not gone through the labor certification process! But the position and job description are the same as mine now, a farm equipment operator! Can this company sign job portability supplement J?

@Vitaliy 123 yes as long as they sign the form sup J for you. they dont need to have a history of sponsoring anyone

if they are hesitant, I would offer them lawyer consulting on your own cost so they can just sign the form for you

@Appa Appa when I talked to them, they said that there would be no problem signing the supplement j form
