Why not apply for I-131 Advance Parole? If approved, you’d be able to visit your family before your GC is even approved. It would be free based on your application type.

I already applied and I got my combo card. but I don’t want to take risk. I’ll wait for my GC. with advance parole it is not guaranteed to return to us.
