@jo den, same here.. my ead card expired, my drivers license expired. i renewed mine last june 2, they received last july 2, no need to do biometrics as of aug 6. Then nothing! waiting for what now? urgh! its too stressful

They must be reviewing the case, in this situation, you won’t receive it, instead, you will receive the GC itself.

But, keep an eye on it. After the interview, they should not take so long to give you an update about it.
