its normal ,I am waiting for my I 140 form almost 13 month

Hi @battling giants Same here.. Applied for EAD renewal in Sept month and received receipt in Oct month. Biometric notification last month updated which reused from earlier.. so overall waiting for EAD since Sept’24

i applied in july’24 its already 6.5 month..still waiting for EAD and AP. @battling giants

@dk dev and @r k thanks and good to see others - while definitely not being good news . most people are getting EAD approved in days or weeks after the biometrics . have you thought of what options to pursue to get the EADz did you contact senator or congressman or whitehouse ? @r k you should be eligible to file service request. did you do that ?

@September 2022 I140 is not the same as 485 (AOS) and 765 (EAD). since you have been waiting for more than one year , I would strongly strongly recommend proceeding with premium processing for I-140. no point waiting for processing and that $3000 is just for mental piece and a faster approval , regardless of whether you are current or not . there is no premium processing for 765 and 485 but since you have one for I140 , use it !

@battling giants no..my lawyer said EAD takes time to 7 month.. so i’m waiting

@A F tell us your experience, we’re there reasons for the delay? did your case get transferred to a different service center during the processing? did you file a service request and/or ultimately have to expedite it ?

almost 11 months waiting issuance of my derivative work permit renewal

@battling giants i think that the main reason was that my case is petition from a permanent resident and not a U.S Citizen, 3 months before the approval i received a RFE, then my case was transferred to my field office, I knew that because i received a coutesy letter to my email and they suggested in the letter that i can submit relevant documentation that substantiates our marital relationship, we sent the information and 15 days later i got approval for EAD and advance parole (i got a combo card) 3 months later, they ask for another RFE for the I-130, they ask for evidence that establish bone fide marital relationship and my husband’s birth certificate. we sent the information and 1 month later i got the approval for the I-130. Since then, my I-485 is still pending with no movements.

@battling giants i forgot to mention that the courtesy letter was from my field office, and the last RFE that I received as well.

@r k not necessarily. my EAD and 485 are in different service centers . you can ask Emma few times and see what they answer for most of the times to confirm which office the 485, EAD and AP are by calling them separately.

@r k you can check in your receipts or talk with a live agent, they told me that my case is still being processed at NBC, i applied with c09 category.

Google it “ask Emma USCIS” the first website will direct you. You only need your receipt number and some information like full name, email, phone number, address, etc

mine took 5 months 🤯

I got my initial EAD in a month and renewal in 2 months weeks.

@r k , thanks, one more question, do you know in which service center thy approved your cases? I have receipts from NBC but after talking to Emma I learned that at least my ead is now in Nebraska Service Center (didn’t get any update that my case got moved before)
