Still waiting for an interview appointment to be scheduled at the US embassy based in Cameroon.
Does anyone know the NVC wait time for scheduling interview after Case (I-130) approval from USCIS? it’s been a month that my case was documentarily approved by national visa center but I have not received interview date yet.

Cameroun IS 6 months Waiting minimum. there are on june Dq now. expect your Interview letter between march to april. im also from cameroon

thanks for your response. 6 months is way too long. Does it apply to all categories? I have IR-1 and IR-5 categories pending and I thought the wait time should range between 2-3 months.

@Amlo Nkangu im also IR1 it is 6 to 7 months minimum before u get your Interview letter

@lil tongi mine took 22 months. filed as F2A but converted to IR1. got approved the same day i upgraded from F2A to IR1

wow! you were lucky. I also filed as F2A, a year later became citizen but was not converted to IR1 immediately even after notifying USCIS. I got approved after 2 years 2 weeks. I only got lucky when I applied for my parents (IR5) and theirs got approved within 5 months.

so it means we shall get approved quickly on when we become citizens
