also, when was your Biometrics appointment? mine was on Nov 1st 2024 and my I485 still pending at NBC, i would like to get info on my case as well from ISO

i see, writ of mandamus? how long did you wait before filing mandamus, i see your receipt date was june 20, 2024, so its not that long to file mandamus, i thought we need to wait around 2 yrs from receipt date before filing mandamus

Yes, I filed my mandamus in January. there is not such law which specifies how long is “enough” to file a mandamus or not.

are you also waiting on your i485?

I did it myself. I’m still waiting for the 60 day period after serving the summons to receive a decision from the USCIS attorney… most likely they will ask the judge to dismiss my lawsuit. However, because of the mandamus my case had some movement. my work permit was approved , my interview was waived and even the contact center said that my case had a lot of movement (2 days after lawsuit was filed ). I am not encouraging anyone to file a mandamus because my case was particular and I won’t disclose the details about it , it was not solely the delay on my application

how can you self file mandamus?? can you provide details please?

it was in August but not all the FBI background checks are done through the biometrics, and just because you do the biometrics doesn’t mean that they run the checks right away.
