is it typical for them to not email you the welcome letter? I mean, professionalism is lacking if that's the case. especially with something so sensitive as this. any thoughts? Approved Jan 28, 2022 and still waiting for the same welcome letter.

The welcome letter will be received from NVC after USCIS approval for I-130 petition of relatives outside USA.

anyone who got approved by USCIS should receive the welcome letter after file goes to NVC. whatever the filing type is. even I-140 approvals get it... correct me if I'm wrong 🤷🏾‍♂️

mine was approved 7 months ago and yet nothing. been calling and calling they keep telling me they will get back to me. 🤦🏽‍♀️

it happened to me and I call them I was on hold for 2 hours and then they answered the phone and ask me who was the petitioner the date of birth and receipt and the gave me my case number give them a call.

@paula caceres- did your status change online? did it state your case was sent to the department of state? or is it like my wife's which hasn't changed since January?

yes it said it was sent to the department of state and I waited 7 weeks and nothing no welcome letter and I called them and they gave me the case # and invoice #

wow. my wife doesn't want me to call them because the lawyer handling their cases (a group of nurses) told them to wait for the letter and not call USCIS etc...I want her to be more aggressive but 🤷🏾‍♂️😩

I called and they gave me the information. they also after a year of having made your case number if they do not see that you take any action they can close the case

on Feb 28 my spouse’s case was sent to the department of state and I gave them a call last week the lady who I talked to she said the case is still under processing and I gotta wait until 45 days if in case I don’t receive the case number and invoice id than I call the NVC again

so I was on hold for an hour. wasn't able to get to an agent because I have work this morning. which day(s) and time would be best to try again?

@Black Diamond you gotta give them a call exactly at 7:00 am eastern time Monday to Friday just make sure call them on time otherwise you will be on hold more than an hour

Thank You all! I contacted USCIS and in fact it was not sent to NVC they submitted a review since it was more than 90 days.

@Elia, keep us posted on that review. it's been 11 weeks since my wife's approval from USCIS TSC and still no welcome letter from NVC. Thanks 🙏🏾
