Status date updated from 5/8 to 8/11 ("Currently Processing"), but PD isn't current yet?
Hi everyone,
My Priority Date is June 15, 2022, which is not current yet according to the Visa Bulletin.
Previously, my status was "USCIS is Currently Processing the case" as of May 8. Today (August 11), I received an email update, and when I logged in, the status text remained identical, but the date updated to today: "USCIS is Currently Processing the case" as of August 11.
I immediately panicked thinking it might be an RFE, but there is no update about an RFE, and nothing new has been uploaded to the "Documents" tab.
Has anyone experienced a date refresh like this when their PD isn't current?
Could this be a pre-adjudication?
Was it transferred to a Field Office (FO)?
Or did an officer just open/touch my file?
Any insights or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

wait for a while, did you get EAD and all that documentation? may be its an rfe. it takes a while. where is your case currently? also when did you file your case and receipt date?

how do you check it? is it SRC?

I got the same message about 3 weeks ago. My PD is June 29 2022 and I haven’t received any update since then. I would say is an automatic message, nothing to worry about.

@mo kh Yes, I already received my EAD. I filed my case back in March. There’s still no notice or document uploaded regarding an RFE, which is why I’m wondering about this date update.
