ssn
I've gotten my ssn but still haven't gotten the work authorization yet. it's still saying 3 weeks to case decision. Could I go ahead and start working with that ssn or should I wait for the authorization first?

@Wayne Dixon it weird I got my work permit but haven’t got my ssn despite going to the office multiple times 😔

@Wayne Dixon I also got my ssn before the EAD card. The approval notice states that u can't even use the approval letter to work. You need the actual card.

@Sean s 🇯🇲 well I chat with Emma she just gave me the number when I call it it says that it is the ssn call center they can’t search without a ssn which is senseless to me

I was told by a guy at the insurance company you can apply for the ssn wen ur ead approve!not all times they mail out ssn you have to go to the office and apply for it

@ HOPE FULLY🇯🇲 if it’s more than 30 days you can visit your nearest ssn office to apply for it

@Sean s 🇯🇲 I got my ead in October waited since they said it might come and went in to the office December to apply
