sponsor threats me that they will withdraw petition before start working
my EAD issued a month ago, so much sooner than I thought. i am processing my case via agency, and they threats me that they have eye on my case and they will withdraw my petition if i don’t go start working asap. i have personal issues so it will take me few month to start working.
when I started the contact, only requirement was working for a year for them. they said its my personal choice if i want to wait till green card is issued, and now they acted like they never said it.
is it that easy they withdraw my petition for not start working rn? what should I do? any thoughts will be appreciated

Hey… Can you please tell which agency is that?

When did you file i485? If filing has been more than 180 days they cannot. They will always try to scare you so make them assure that you just need some time before starting the work and you know the contract and you will comply with them.

Alternatively do not argue with them... beg them that you know your agreement is and you will surely work with your employer

@Naruto 17 All you need is the receipt number
USCIS knows your employer/agent might not want to release it to you which is what is happening
So if you can supply the receipt number they will grab it themselves from their archives.

@raul lee I know many people have EADs and waiting for 6-8 months until working for sponsor. and you will need 2-3 months to Relocation to work for your sponsor.

@Kim kim do they have f1 status? i don’t since I graduated, and little worried that I am not doing anything right now (i have enough savings so rather not work) . I wonder what i tell them at the interview in case they ask me why didn’t I start working earlier
